Hi, I’m Serafina.

Se·ra·fi·na /ˌser-ə-ˈfē-nə/ n.

From Late Latin seraphim, the “burning ones.” Loosely: fire angel.

A creative marketing × production swiss army knife. I pair good taste with an engine that gets it done, and bring fire and good-natured fun to everything I make.

I’ve spent the past three years at a consumer app for living on purpose, by the founders of Pinterest and Twitter. I came in as an intern and grew into creative production, and later growth marketing manager. Here’s a snapshot of what I did.

User acquisition

I grew weekly actives 1,150% in three months.

at less than a third of the usual CPI

The problem

An early app needing users.

What I did

Ran hacky growth marketing and in-house creative direction alongside an agency. Designed statics, produced and edited short-form video, and tested on every ad platform until something stuck.

200 → 2,500weekly actives
$2CPI (consumer social ≈ $7)
Organic growth + brand building

I made one TikTok that drove 9,000 site visits in a few hours.

The problem

We needed to start telling our story, but our well-known founders were wary of making too much noise.

What I did

I set up TikTok as our testing ground, built content pillars for Instagram, and ran the calendar. I wrote, filmed, and edited every short-form video myself. A reel of Biz popped off on Instagram, and the statics I designed took off on Pinterest.

Brand storytelling

I told the story of a product that wouldn’t sit still.

The problem

How do you tell the story of an early product that’s constantly changing?

What I did

I told it from the point of view of the problem instead of the app. I built a world for it to live in (people living on autopilot), kept it intentionally ambiguous, and drove traffic to a waitlist. When the engineers didn’t get it at first, I wrote the brief, vibe-coded the landing page, reworked the App Store screens, and started the baby brand on socials without hard-launching the app UI.

Market + user research

I love talking to strangers.

part detective, part therapist

I interviewed 40 strangers across the US.

The problem

We were building an app to help people live on purpose without really understanding the core problem: people feeling stuck on autopilot.

What I did

I scouted, sourced, and interviewed 40 people, then analyzed what I heard and brought it back to the team. I enjoyed every minute.

I turned 20+ user interviews into our ICP.

The problem

Marketing was outpacing the product. We had activation but no retention.

What I did

I analyzed active-user data, ran outreach, and interviewed 20+ active users with questions built to surface behavioral problems. I turned the feedback into product recommendations and the interviewees into working personas.

Creative production

I gave a team of 15 a week to remember.

no uggo Patagonias

The problem

Our hybrid team of 15 was coming together for an offsite.

What I did

I handled planning, logistics, comms, florals, and dinner at the right underground spot. I ran a 35mm film photoshoot (no corporate headshots here) and designed and produced custom merch.

For dessert…

side projects
Experiential

I produce retreats for 55 founders, creatives, and technologists.

Twice a year, I put on a private three-day retreat for a network of people orbiting the tech industry who want to create with care. I run planning, comms, logistics, venues, budget, and invites, and I work with wizards and healers of all kinds.

Editorial

I cut 200 pages of vision down to one north-star book.

I work with an astral-thinking founder on a lofty (and dense) company vision. I run sitting sessions to pull out the best ideas, then work with an editor, writer, and designer to turn it into a vision book for investors and employees.

Off hours

When I’m not working, I’m putting on outfits, taking photos, practicing yoga, or making art.
